imc Test & Measurement, a manufacturer of the Axiometrix Solutions Industrial Test Group, has launched imc ARGUSfit, a new modular data acquisition system. The basic unit, high-speed measurement module and fieldbus interface module (such as CAN FD) of imc ARGUSfit can be conveniently connected together through the "snap mechanism", providing rich flexibility for application scenarios such as vehicle and large-scale equipment testing and monitoring. The modular structure design allows imc ARGUSfit to perfectly adapt to changing test environments, thanks to the extremely compact housing design, making it an ideal choice for testing applications in confined spaces. For distributed measurements, the modules can be connected by fiber optic cables, which makes the instrument flexible and robust. In this way, the measurement module can be placed as close as possible to the sensor, reducing noise and interference and saving expensive cables. The total system sampling rate of imc ARGUSfit is 5 MS/s, which can expand to more than 1000 channels, and the sampling rate of a single channel is up to 500 kS/s. It is imc's most powerful data acquisition platform so far. Internal SD card slot data storage, independent operation without PC, optional UPS unit to provide power failure protection when the vehicle is started. At the same time, the real-time analysis unit imc Online FAMOS is integrated inside to facilitate the execution of data analysis tasks during the measurement process. The new generation of imc ARGUSfit data acquisition series not only introduces high-speed measurement modules, such as: ICPU-6 measurement module that can be used for ICP sensors such as accelerometers and microphones, and the universal voltage amplifier measurement module UTI-6. Moreover, both medium and low speed data acquisition can be taken into account, for example: imc ARGUSfit modules (high speed) can be seamlessly integrated with existing imc CANSASfit series modules (medium and low speed). This will further expand the possibilities for testing applications and extend the boundaries of the use of new systems. Adhering to the "one platform" product design concept, imc ARGUSfit can run simultaneously with all other imc data acquisition product series in measurement tasks.
The modular structure design concept of the new imc ARGUSfit data acquisition platform enables the imc ARGUSfit basic unit to be easily paired and connected with the measurement module and fieldbus module through the "snap-on" mechanism without additional cable connections. Combined with fiber optic system bus extension modules, numerous combinations of centralized or distributed system setups are possible, which can be matched to the complex testing requirements of vehicles or large equipment prototypes. Since imc ARGUSfit is compatible with imc CANSASfit and its HISO series, it can also perform data acquisition in high-voltage environments, realizing a comprehensive and complete measurement solution that takes into account both low-speed and high-speed sampling channels. The newly launched imc ARGUSfit series modules - ICPU-6 is used to record ICP accelerometers, UTI-6 is used to measure voltage, current and RTD (PT100/1000), which can be used in high-speed and large-channel-count application scenarios, such as Turbine testing, condition monitoring, wind tunnel testing and even testing in high pressure environments. Furthermore, the new imc ARGUSfit can be operated synchronously with any imc existing data acquisition system.
The compact modular design allows the imc ARGUSfit to be placed close to the sensors in both centralized and distributed measurements. The unique imc ARGUSfit system bus supports a total system data rate of up to 5 Mbps. Thanks to the fiber optic connection, imc ARGUSfit maintains this rate even in a distributed data acquisition setup. It has been proven that this material has the best anti-electromagnetic interference performance at a distance of 250 meters, so it has pioneering application capabilities in buildings, bridges, high-speed rail and ships. On the other hand, in a test bench environment, this feature also ensures pristine signal quality and reduces cabling costs. With imc ARGUSfit's integrated and easy-to-use real-time signal processing platform imc Online FAMOS, combined with measurement and control software imc STUDIO and post-processing software imc FAMOS, "from sensor to test report" - imc ARGUSfit provides a complete set of solutions covering hardware and software .
It is worth mentioning that in this new product release, the new imc ARGUSfit data acquisition platform and the sensor database imc SIMPLEX are launched together. The database consists of a mobile phone app and 24/7 cloud service. Users can plan and configure their sensor database online in real time via RFID/NFC or QR code, and assign them to measurement channels directly in the measurement and control software imc STUDIO. These easy operations help users save time, avoid possible errors and ensure reliable and well-documented measurement results.
